North Peak Sandstone Feb 8, 2017

Brenda and I started out at 9:00 from the end
of the pavement on Rocky Gap road. Took the
wash route up till the water was too deep to
navigate. This wash should be called
pretty rock wash. 7.5 miles and 2400 ft.
Down by 3:20. Nachos at Yard House afterward.

When we couldn't get around the water we climbed up
to Rocky Gap road and followed it to the side trail that
goes to the ridge line.

There was some snow on the trail up to the ridge.

 Griffith Peak showing itself

Looking back down the trail from the sandstone section of trail.

There was more snow at the top than we wanted to post hole through,
so we turned around a little beyond Dragon rock where the view
of Bridge Mountain was good.

Dragon rock surrounded by snow. It was too soft to
walk on top of the snow

Here is a link to a 360 degree interactive panorama I took at the turn around spot
