Edmaier's Secret, Nov 13, 2019- May 2021

Edmaier's secret is the west side of West Clark Bench facing the portion of Buckskin wash just before it slots up to form the longest slot canyon. Trailhead is 4.2 miles down House Rock Valley road and is called Buckskin wash trailhead. Trail is the wash downstream. Take advantage of use trails that cut the bends in the wash, and are easier walking.

After about 0.6 miles you pass through a portal in the redrock. Just 400 feet further, up on the right bench are two petroglyph panels. Above the bush at ground level just behind first hiker.

This is the second panel about 50 feet further along the wall.

after about another half mile you will hike along a straight barbed wire fence on the left side of the wash. At the end of the straight part you round a rock outcrop and turn left up a sandy hill to the first lace rock pictured here and below.

Follow the sandstone 850 more feet generally south and in a sandy spot you come to the Big Fins.
