Mansard petroglyph pannel

The Mansard Petroglyph is located 5.5 miles east of Kanmab UT, and 1.5 miles north of the highway. It has features not found at any other site.

This is from the petroglyph looking down  into the valley toward the road. The cars are parked over the dark ridge in the center. You have to switchback up that ridge and cross a plateau to reach them. You can pickup a flyer at the Kanab visitors center with full directions.

  The petroglyphs are in an alcove that can be seen as soon as you gain the first ridge from the cars.

We call this one The Salt shaker

These large grooves are what makes this site unique.

They are carved into the floor of the alcove. Take care not to walk on them.
