Hummingbirds of Puerto Iguazu

This was a side trip on our OAT trip to Patagonia and Iguazu falls. I decided to post these first because there are just a few and i am still working on the other photos. In Puerto Iguazu there is a house with many hummingbird feeders and a good chance to see them close up. It is called "Jardin de los Picaflores" and costs about $10. to enter. It is very small and reservations for a group are recommended.

This is a Black-throated Mango. The most colorful one there. I got  a lot of photos of this bird.

Another Black-throated Mango

Close-up of the black throat

It's under tailfeathers are pink

A guilded hummingbird.

Bananaquit. A common nectar eater, but not a hummingbird.

A Sayaca Tanager

This could be anything. I just liked the picture.

Imature, or female Black-throated Mango.

Same bird here.

A swallow tailed hummingbird. I couldn't get a photo of it's tail spread.
