Gibraltar Wash

We started at the Duck Rock gate and walked east to Gibraltar Rock then followed the wash north to Magnesite Wash for the return

The wash starts out small and goes left of the white hill in this photo.

We soon came to a pour-over that looked daunting but stacked rocks allowed an easy climb down.

Gibraltar Wash had a lot of pot holes with water.

The route heads towards the white/red rock in the distance.

Alongside the wash was this outcrop that looked like an old stone wall

Two tone rock alcove

A sign of permanent water are the reeds growing here.

A Face Rock

More pools after we turned into Magnesite Wash.

Plants starting to grow, This might be a kind of Evening Primrose

Sand circles caused by grasses blowing in the wind,

Another old wall

The outcrop where the 1915 inscription is.

Looking back the way we came
