We took a vacation to the Cook islands between Tahiti and Fifi, and a little south. Seven nights on Rarotonga at Little Polynesian and 5 nights on Aitutaki at Tamanu beach resort.
View from the restaurant at Little Polynesian. The tables over look the pool and beach.
There was one good sunset while we were there
The free breakfast was a fruit plate and toast with coffee and orange juice.
Another fruit plate. They were different everyday.
The beach in front of the pool had these lounge chairs.
Front porch of our cabana was right on the beach.
Later on Aitutaki we were in one of these cabins.
Across from the Little Polynesian there was a botanical garden with a few flowers.
On Aitutaki we took a snorkeling tour and stopped on this island where the red tail tropic birds nest.
The cruise boat.
On Atituki our resort put on a small isand night show with a buffet.
Fire dancers
View of the lagoon in front of Aitutaki's Tamanu beach resort. All the dark areas in the water are coral where we snorkeled and saw many fish.
This is from the restaurant near the airport before we flew out. It was my best chance to get a gecko photo.
